You can wipe your battary stats by CWM recovery. This is the prefered way by me.
To wipe stats by CWM.
 
1)Turn your phone off.
 
2)Go to CWM recovery by pressing power button and volume up + key.
 
3)Go to advance option.
 
4)Now select wipe battary stats.
 
5)Then select yes.

Google has announced the availability of Android 4.4, called Android KitKat, the latest upgrade to the world's most popular smartphone operating system.  The newest version of the Android smartphone software aims to allow more smartphone users access to its evolving menu of online services such as driving directions voice-activated search. Android KitKat will be able to run on inexpensive, low-end smartphones as well as the most advanced devices and this also could make the Android software more attractive to third-party app developers, who have been frustrated by what they call the "fragmented" nature of Android devices.

The new KitKat version of Android integrates Google search technology directly into the phone in various ways.

Here are the top 10 new features that Google brings to Android with the KitKat upgrade: Ok Google: A feature first showcased in the Motorola's Moto X finds its way into native Android. Just say, "Ok Google" to activate the phone without touching it. Users can launch a voice search, send a text, get driving directions or play a song with the voice command.

Full-screen album art: On Android KitKat album art will display in a full-screen format on the lock screen while listening to music or streaming via Chromecast.

 Immersive mode: The new immersive mode gives a full screen experience hiding all controls while reading a book, watching a movie or playing a game. Swiping on the edges brings back the status bar and navigation button.

Improved multitasking: Google says Android 4.4 betters system performance by optimising memory and improving the touchscreen so that it responds faster and more accurately.

 Priority contacts: The new phone app in Android KitKat automatically prioritises contacts based on the people users talk to the most.

Extended search: On Android 4.4 users can also search for nearby places and businesses or people in their Google Apps domain.

Improved caller ID For calls from numbers not listed in the user's contacts, Android 4.4 will look for matches from businesses with a local listing on Google Maps.

 SMS, MMS integrated into Hangouts: The new Hangouts app on Android 4.4 also displays SMS and MMS messages.

Emoji on Google Keyboard: Android KitKat brings in the popular Emoji characters to the default Android keyboard.

 Printing: Android 4.4 allows users to print photos, documents, and web pages from their phone or tablet. Users can print to any printer connected to Google Cloud Print, to HP ePrint printers, and to other printers that have apps in the Google Play Store.

1. Is M2 upgradable to Kitkat?
A : In recent days, we saw Kitkat updates for CTRL V5 and S5.5. So we should keep in mind that our phones will get KK update soon.


2. What's the battery backup of M2?
A : As you can see, M2 is loaded with 4200 mAh battery. Every person has its own usage which varies from person to person. If you play heavy games then phone will be discharged easily within 6 hours of continue usage. If you use 3g and music/video only then it will last for 2 days according to me.


3. LED Notification / Back-lit soft keys ?
A : There is no any led notification light and softkey buttons namely Menu, Home and Back don't light up when touched.


4. What is rooting and Custom roms ?
A : Rooting is a process which enables a user to be SuperUser. A user cannot uninstall pre-loaded apps like Gmail, Antivirus but after rooting you can do it by a third party app.
Custom roms are firmware of a phone which is made by a developer to provide clean and simple UI to user interface because default user interface of chinese phones are very bad and so is for Gionee M2. Its Amigo UI sucks.


5. Can we play heavy games on M2 ? 
A : As this phone is cheap around 10K but nevertheless it contains 1.3 GHz quad-core CPU and Mali-400 MP GPU which makes this phone a gaming phone. You can enjoy all heavy games like Asphalt 8 and Real Racing 3.


6. Resolution is only 480p. Does its screen look clear ?
A : Yeah. Resolution is 480p but you won't see any pixelation in screen. Screen is sharp and clear. You can set Brightness to maximum when you are in daylight.


7. How's its camera quality ?
A : I must say, its camera is reall very good. 8 MP camera takes good photos and record videos in 1080p. Front camera is 2 MP and enough for Skype video calling.

A : OTG stands for On The Go which means you can plug a usb device to your phone. M2 doesn't support OTG.

8. Does the phone heats while playing games?
A : As we are fond of Samsung devices, they heat very much because of low end processor but M2 heats very less. You won't feel any kind of heat unless you touch the upper part of phone where camera is placed.

9. How much time does it takes to charge from 0% to 100% ?
A : According to my phone, it takes 5-6 hours but when you unplug it, you will see sudden drop of battery from 100 to 95. Its a bug, so don't panic. Rest 95% will hold your phone for two days.

10. How to root Gionee M2 ?

Install it. Open the app, select 'Barahir' from list and reboot. Done !!

11. How to install CTR recovery ?
A : Download recovery.img file - [here]

~ Install MTK MobileUncle Tools from Play Store and open and go to Recovery Updates option
~ Select the recovery.img file to install and let it be installed automatically.
~ It will reboot into recovery.

12. How to install custom roms like Axer 3.0 rom ?
A : First download Axer 3.0 zip file - [here]

~ Place it in your SD card in a folder named 'A'. This is because it will show on top and easy to select.
~ Reboot in CTR recovery by following No. 5's answer.
~ Choose 'Install zip from SD card'. 
~ Browse the folder 'A' and select Axer3.0.zip file
~ Installation process will begin.
~ It will take some time for first reboot.
~ Done.
